The Place
The components of Röstarle come from diverse coffee lands: the hills of Serra da Mantiqueira in Brazil (via CQT), the Andean highlands of Peru (Unicafec), the misty slopes of Bugisu in eastern Uganda, and the fertile soils of Nicaragua under Coop. Sagrada Familia. Each origin contributes distinct terroir — from tropical hills and volcanic soils to high‑altitude, rainfall‑rich slopes — providing a rich mosaic of climates and growing conditions. This variety of origins underpins the complexity and balance of the blend.
The Process
Each lot in Röstarle is processed according to practices suited to its origin and character. The Mantiqueira Azul beans follow a pulped‑natural style, delivering sweetness and body. The Peruvian lot respects organic standards and is handled with care to preserve its clean, bright profile. The Bugisu (Uganda) lot is known for washed processing under high‑altitude conditions, bringing clarity and acidity. The Nicaraguan beans from Coop. Sagrada Familia are processed to maintain a balanced body and mild acidity, complementing the other origins. By combining these varied processing styles, Röstarle achieves synergy: sweetness, structure, acidity and depth merge in harmony.
The People
Röstarle is the fruit of collaboration among several dedicated producer groups and supply‑chain partners. CQT Coffees manages the Brazilian component, working with local growers in Mantiqueira to ensure quality and ethical sourcing. Unicafec in Peru, Coop. Sagrada Familia in Nicaragua and the farming communities around Bugisu in Uganda each contribute beans grown under care, often on small farms where attention to detail and sustainable practices matter. This network of growers, co‑ops and importers reflects shared values of quality, transparency and respect for origin — all of which come together in every bag of Röstarle.
The Blend Character
Röstarle expresses the best of its diverse origins and processes.
