Origin of coffee

Mantiqueira Azul lot is grown in the rolling hills of the Serra da Mantiqueira region, Minas Gerais, Brazil — a terroir renowned for its moderate altitude (approximately 900–1,500 metres) and mild climate. The COCARIVE cooperative, which unites many small family farms, ensures that even modest plots are cultivated with care and expertise.

Harvest and Processing

This lot is typically processed using the pulped natural method, in which the cherries are depulped but dried with a portion of the fruit still attached. Carefully sorted, the beans undergo controlled fermentation and slow drying at the COCARIVE facilities, preserving clarity, medium body, and balanced acidity. The resulting cup offers chocolate and nutty notes, complemented by subtle hints of fruit or citrus.
