A SYMBOL OF STRENGTH AND COURAGE

This lot comes from North-Kivu in Congo, imported by Makeda Coffee, a company founded with the idea of promoting coffee from this region plagued by decades of war, supporting the local population economically. The coffee is produced by small farmers, the AMKA cooperative takes care of the processing - this lot is fully washed. AMKA, which in Swahili means 'wake up coffee farmers' is a cooperative created by small farmers with the intention of revitalising coffee culture and quality in this region.

The plantations are located around Lake Kivu on volcanic soils rich in organic matter, at an altitude of between 1650 and 1850 metres above sea level, in a temperate tropical climate.
This coffee is very valuable because it comes from a land of conflict and is therefore a symbol of the resilience of the farmers who continue to work despite everything.

The result is a coffee with a very pleasant fruity vibe and a sweet finish, offering a truly delicious cup.
