This tea is grown at a high altitude of 1,500 meters within the pristine Wuliang Mountains near Pu'er City, located in China’s southwestern Yunnan province.
the Dongzhai Tea Estate benefits from nutrient-rich soils, dense mountain mists, and extreme diurnal temperature variations. This high alpine climate slows down the growth of the tea bushes, forcing the root systems to absorb rich mineral content and locking deep, comforting sugars directly into the budding leaves.

"Golden Snail" (known locally as Dian Hong Jin Luo) is a black tea produced exclusively during the early spring harvest window.
Using a strict plucking standard of one tender bud and one to two young leaves, the fresh material is withered, oxidation-crafted, and then meticulously hand-rolled using the traditional Bi Luo Chun molding method. This rolling technique twists the golden, downy tea buds into tight, delicate spirals resembling tiny snails.
The compressed shape protects the delicate essential oils within the leaf matrix, allowing them to bloom slowly across multiple, progressive infusions.

The Dongzhai Tea Estate represents a modern blueprint for socially responsible, organic agricultural preservation in Yunnan.
Originally a densely forested wilderness, the estate was established with a strict focus on ecological farming and community enrichment. The estate management provides free housing and agricultural support to local farming families, many of whom belong to regional ethnic minorities like the Dai.
Entirely free from synthetic chemical inputs or industrial pesticides, Dongzhai utilizes balanced forest permaculture and self-produced compost to nourish the soil. This holistic approach creates a clean, premium crop that protects regional mountain biodiversity while offering an uncompromised, award-winning specialty tea profile.
