The Chemex filters are 20-30% heavier and thicker than conventional filter paper.
The special, fine-pored paper keeps trapped substances and oils that occur naturally in coffee from getting into your coffee during brewing. As a result, coffee from the Chemex tastes particularly aromatic, not bitter.
